LYNDA SHATSKY - SERVES OUR COMMUNITY

Resident of Santa Clara over 25 years. Living in Evergreen and being very active in the community through every season of the year truly helps me to know all of you better. I have participated this past year in local Elementary school and high school fundraising events, 2 local swim team, soccer teams, and baseball team with my grandchildren. My 20 years of experience as a teacher helps me to understand the needs of the children and families in this area. I am active in women's ministry and leadership for Celebration Community Church. Our team continuously strives to help those in need. I have coordinated: food and snack boxes to go over seas to our military families, clothes and needed items for the families in Blossom Valley that were victims of a massive fire, and  community days at Silver Creek High School moving desks and furniture helping them to get ready for the next season.

"OUR FAMILY HELPING THEIRS" I am the Optimist International Foundation Representative for Cabo San Lucas Mexico: Project Kidsmart. It is an educational program for very smart children middle school thru college level. These children are from financially challenged families. This program provides opportunity to increase their chances of changing the poverty life style for them and their families through an education. We raise money, provide school supplies, provide hands on field trips to learn and grow in ways they couldn't with out Project Kidsmart. I visit with the children and their families to extend my hand and show them that someone does care about their future and the future of their families. As a member of the Optimist Club in Cabo, I process all donations and sponsorships for the kids.
